At the Queen's School of Music, you will have the opportunity to study various types of music from world music to classical jazz, folk and popular music. Our diverse degree programs allow you to personalize your studies, creating a balance between performance and academics that accommodates your individual interests. You can choose to focus on one or more of four areas without having to limit yourself to a declared major. There areas are: Applied Study (performance), Musicology/ethnomusicology, music education and theory and composition. For those who want to integrate the study of music into a broad academic education in the sciences or humanities, we offer Bachelor of Arts in Music degree programs. In these programs you can combine Arts and Science disciplines with music studies, including private instrumental or vocal instruction and participation in the School's ensembles.
