Lakehead is an innovative and comprehensive university that teaches students how to think, not what to think. With campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia, Lakehead is recognized as one of Ontario’s “equity powerhouses” for its commitment to serving underrepresented groups including Indigenous and first-generation students. The university emphasizes experiential and high-impact learning practices, which isreflected in the high employment rate of its graduates (nearly 95 percent within two years of graduation).

Lakehead offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in 10 faculties – Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Graduate Studies, Health and Behavioural Sciences, Law, Medicine, Natural Resources Management, Science and Environmental Studies, and Social Sciences and Humanities. Students can choose from 37 graduate programs, including seven PhD programs.
